About Ice Green
Ice Green was founded in March 2012 under the name ‘La Cosa Rica’ with the goal to make the best ice cream in Costa Rica. Before we moved from Germany to Costa Rica in 2011 one of the last things I did was visiting the first German Gelato/Ice Cream University. There I learned to make artisanal ice cream from scratch using only natural ingredients.
Sustainability
Protecting the amazing nature of Costa Rica is a huge task and we are dedicated to preserve the environment by producing our ice cream as eco-friendly as possible. Not only do we have 93 solar panels on our factory roof (23kW) providing us with 100% clean energy. We also developed a closed water system in order to cool our ice cream machines and pasteurizers.
About our ice cream
Currently we offer 5 different product lines with more than 40 irresistible flavors. Milk-based Gelato, water-based vegan fruit-sorbets, almond or coconut milk-based vegan ice cream, popsicles and traditional style milk-based helados de sorbetera.
